The way we interpret every event that happens to us determines our emotions, our behaviours, and hence our results.
As a successful person and a successful trader, we have to be constantly aware of our "self talk", because our "self talk" (the conversation going on in our mind when something happens) creates the meaning that shapes the outcome.
So when we change the meaning, we change the outcome and we change our life. That's why in Master Trader Bootcamp we spend time to help everyone explore, evaluate and redefine the meaning they gave to "losing trades", "winning trades", "money", "success" etc.

The first hurdle in front of most traders - is the decision making process. Many new traders took much more time than they should to achieve consistency, because they don't have a clear, complete and consistent decision making process.
Once a clear, complete and consistent decision making process is established, then we have a strong foundation to build and improve upon, to become a consistent trader.
That's why we always emphasise the important to KEEP IT SIMPLE and not to over-think the decision, just ASK THE 3 QUESTIONS before you enter a trade. Do you remember what the 3 questions are?

Within The Uncertainty
This is one of Kathlyn's famous quote.
The 2nd most common hurdle that traders need to cross is the emotion called FEAR. Specifically, the type of fear that prevents us from making any decisions (thus procrastinating or stalling), and the type of fear that drives us into making rash, unjustified decisions that lead to undesired outcome.
FEAR happens when we cannot meet our CERTAINTY NEED (which we covered in the 6 Human Needs topic in Master Trader Bootcamp). The way to overcome fear - is to act upon what we know, as long as we have sound knowledge about something, then we can make decisions based upon what we know to move forward, and that's a powerful mindset!
There is always uncertainties in the market, and also in life. Instead of being held back by the "unknown", we take charge by finding out what we need to know and act upon it, e.g. you can always find stocks / ETFs that do well in a recession, isn't it?

This is based on the BE > DO > HAVE philosophy.
The conventional wisdom is that we have to DO something, then only we can HAVE what we want, and what we HAVE will define who we BE-come.
"I have to get the strategy right, then only I can make money, so that I become a rich person." Does that sound familiar?
The truth is that - adopting the mindset, character and IDENTITY of the person we want to be comes first. In other words, we have to BE a master trader first, so that we will DO and act according to what a Master Trader will do, and then we will HAVE the results we are looking for as the natural outcome. It's a transformational mindset for life!
